Nvidia Reveals New Graphics Chip

After a two-year wait Nvidia has finally unveiled its new graphics chip, the eighth-generation of its Turing graphics architecture.

Nvidia described it as the most important innovation in computer graphics in more than a decade.

The chip employs hybrid rendering which Nvidia says will change the industry, opening up possibilities to make more beautiful designs, richer entertainment and more interactive experiences. The chip can also employ real-time ray tracing which Nvidia called the Holy Grail of the industry.
