Though the appearance and unconventional angle of Nintendo’s latest gaming console – the Nintendo Switch – was revealed last week, there are still plenty of unanswered questions.
Pricing wasn’t revealed, nor was an exact launch date or full list of what software will support the Switch’s launch. The console’s big reveal was full of style but not much substance. It confirmed a broad direction but not how far Nintendo will be willing to go in their efforts to consolidate their handheld and home console audiences, nor what compromises and advances will be made along the way.
Nintendo are promising to fill in those blanks, with the company scheduling a streamed product event for January 12th.
The company announced the event via its Twitter account earlier today.
