New Roomba Models Have iRobot OS Intelligence

iRobot Corp., like many of their competitors, have employed customisation and AI to get what they claim to be a more accurate clean via their newly introduced models, Roomba Combo j9+ robot vacuum and mop and Roomba j9+ robot vacuum.

By using OS technology, the new models will map out homes up to seven times faster and automatically names rooms for the users iRobot said.

Now the Roomba Combo j9+ can sidestep items such as shoes, keys, pets, wires, and backpacks and for cluttered areas, the areas where the robo-cleaner scours can be based on cleaning history.

With its Dirt Detective intelligence and AI Learning, the new features will help the bot to remember and optimise from previous cleanings with regards to how soiled a room is then modifying settings like suction and scrubbing.

With the new Clean Base Auto-Fill Dock, included on the Roomba Combo j9+, the bot automatically empties debris and replenishes the robot with liquid and empties debris for up to 60 days, refilling liquid for up to 30 days for autonomous cleaning.

With the new Dual Rubber Brushes and iRobot’s D.R.I. (Dry Rug Intelligence), the Roomba Combo j9+ Robot Vacuum can clean higher carpets which are cleaned and also dried.

Both the Roomba Combo j9+ and Roomba j9+ also listen to voice commands and can be paired with Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri.

For pricing and availability in Australia, neither has been announced for the Roomba Combo j9+ robot vacuum and mop and Roomba j9+ robot vacuum.
