New Apple Emojis Finally Include a Ginger Option

Celebrating world emoji day today, Apple has released a range of new emojis which includes a person with red hair, new hairstyles, animals and food.

The new emojis will be available via a software update later in the year, probably going hand-in-hand with the iOS 12 release.

There are more than 70 new emoji characters coming to all Apple devices.

The new emoji designs, created based on approved characters in Unicode 11.0, has grey hair and curly hair options plus a new emoji for bald people. It also has more smiley faces including a cold face, party face and face with hearts.

New animals being added to the emoji range include a kangaroo, peacock, parrot and lobster, with the addition of new food emoji for mango, lettuce, cupcake, moon cake and other popular items.

Other characters being released include a new superhero emoji – male and female, a softball, nazar amulet and infinity symbol.
