Motorola Quietly Raises Prices Across Moto G Range
Motorola has adjusted pricing across its Moto G (2026) smartphones, with increases appearing on its official online store without prior notice. The changes affect several models in the lineup, pushing entry-level devices closer to mid-range pricing.
The Moto G Play (2026), which features a 6.7-inch display, entry-level memory and a 5,200mAh battery, has risen to around A$380 from roughly A$270. The Moto G 5G (2026) now sits near A$460, up from about A$300, marking a rise of around 50 per cent.

Higher-spec models have also been affected. The Moto G Power (2026) is now priced at approximately A$615, reflecting an increase of about A$150. This model includes more RAM and storage, along with a slightly larger display.
To offset the higher prices, Motorola is bundling accessories such as tracking tags and wireless earbuds with some models. However, the increases highlight a broader trend, with rising memory costs linked to demand from AI infrastructure beginning to influence smartphone pricing.
