Razer has unveiled its latest gaming audio gear, the Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed wireless earbuds, targeting players who want low-latency sound across multiple devices.

The new earbuds use Razer’s proprietary HyperSpeed 2.4GHz wireless technology, designed to deliver “gaming-grade” low-latency audio when paired via a USB-C dongle.

The system works across a wide range of platforms including PC, PlayStation, handheld consoles and mobile devices. Bluetooth 6.0 is also onboard, allowing broader compatibility and more stable wireless performance when the dongle isn’t in use.

A standout feature is the charging case, which doubles as a wireless receiver when the dongle is inserted. This enables users to plug the case directly into a device and stream audio while charging – a design aimed at gamers frequently switching between setups. Razer’s SmartSwitch feature allows quick transitions between HyperSpeed wireless and Bluetooth connections.

Battery life has seen a notable boost, with up to 10 hours on a single charge and up to 40 hours total with the case. The company is also touting improved hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), claiming up to 50% better noise reduction compared to the previous generation.

On PC, the earbuds support THX spatial audio, simulating a 7.1 surround sound experience to enhance positional awareness in games.

Razer has priced the Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed at around $130 USD (roughly $200 AUD), with availability starting globally now. A cheaper variant, the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed, drops ANC and uses older Bluetooth but retains the core multi-device functionality.
