LG Promise Best In Class Audio With V20
LG have revealed their upcoming V20, the first smartphone to run on Android 7.0, will also be the first handset to offer 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analog converter) capabilities.
The company promise to bring ‘a superior audio experience to mobile for the very first time’, claiming that the sound quality recorded by the V20 can reduce up to 50% of ambient noise.
They say that the audio in videos taken with the V20, when played back with compatible headphones, will sound closer to a live performance than you’ll get out of most handsets.
According to Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company, “Higher quality audio is simply the natural evolution of the smartphone, as the industry moves toward a more holistic multimedia consumption experience.”
“As smartphones mature, we’re seeing more and more customers looking beyond just fast processors and big displays in their devices,”
The feature comes courtesy of a partnership between LG and ESS technology.
“As a technology more typically available in high-end audio equipment, Quad DAC on the V20 will make users feel as if they are carrying around a professional home-audio system on their smartphone,” promised ESS Technology president Robert Blair.
