LG Electronics is tipped to feature a brand new next-gen processor within its 2024 OLED TVs, called the ‘Alpha 10,’ reportedly already in development, features an improved Neural Processing Unit.

Rumours suggest the chip with run more AI algorithms, and make more complex decisions locally. It’s expected to be an ungraded ‘Alpha 9’ chip, meaning individuals are hoping for an improvement in picture quality, including improved image analysis, noise reduction, and object recognition, as well as audio enhancements.

The chip is currently planned to be used in LG’s upcoming smart TVs, however, sources claim LG could expand to the webOS platform as well.

Official announcements usually take place at CES, so the reveal could be taking place at next year’s CES event in January.
