Leaked: Pixel 2 Smartphone With New Homescreen

Ahead of Google’s event on October 4th, notable tech leaker Evan Blass has revealed images of the upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone, inclusive of a new home screen Google has created for Android smartphones.

The handset will be launched with two versions; a Pixel and Pixel XL.

The devices are said to be manufactured by HTC & LG.

Following pre-order periods, Google’s Pixel 2 is said to be available on October 19th, with the Pixel 2 XL available on November 15th.

Droid Life states the smaller device will come in three colours (Kinda Blue, Just Black, and Clearly White) and be available with 64GB and 128GB of storage, and accompany a price tag of US$649 and US$749 respectively.

It states the LG-manufactured Pixel 2 XL will come in two colours (Black & White and Just Black), retailing for US$849 for 64GB and US$949 for the 128GB model.

Inferred from recent promo videos, the new devices are tipped to offer improved battery life, storage capability and a better camera than competitors.

Droid Life state Google will reveal a new compact smart speaker, when unveiling its newest Pixel phones on October 4th.
