JBL Shines A Light On New Pulse 3 Speaker

JBL has announced its 360-degree portable speaker/lightshow combo the Pulse 3 will soon be released in Australia.

With a IPX7 waterproof design and Bluetooth connectivity, the Pulse 3 mixes 360-degree sound powered by three drivers and dual passive radiators in the bottom of the speaker with a 360-degree LED lightshow in the top.

“Wireless and durable, the Pulse 3 brings music to the next level by providing powerful audio and an exciting, fully customisable lightshow, all at the listener’s fingertips. It is like the modern day lava lamp but with great sound,” said Harman Australia Brand Activation Manager (Lifestyle Audio) Marcus Fry.

Two smartphones can simultaneously connect to the speaker and take turns playing music, and over 100 compatible JBL speakers can be connected together for music playback through the JBL Connect+ app.

The Pulse 3 has a battery life of up to 12 hours and – along with music playback – can be used for calls using the noise- and echo-cancelling speakerphone feature. Siri and Google Now can also be accessed through JBL’s Voice Assistant Integration.

The JBL Pulse 3 will retail for $299.95 when it launches on September 15, and will be available from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Myer, Bing Lee and Betta Electrical.
