HP Unveils New All-In-One PC With Alexa Built In

In the past year several consumer electronics are embracing smart assistants and putting them into various products like speakers and headphones, now HP is unveiling a new all-in-on desktop PC with Amazon Alexa built in, one of the first PC companies to do so.

The Alexa-embedded PC is a part of a new Envy portfolio with the Envy Curved AiO 34 featuring the smart assistant. Users can ask Alexa to do the usual like play music and tell them the weather forecast and can now ask for the assistant to display certain things like Album artwork or a web page.

The AiO 34 is an all-in-one with a 34-inch curved screen. It is built with the new HP Command Centre allowing users to optimise system performance, fan noise and temperature with CoolSense technology.

It comes in a dark ash wood grain finish.

The AiO as well as all Envy products have Bang and Olufsen speakers embedded into them. There is the option to add the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics. It also has new HP Audio Stream where users are able to stream their songs via their smartphone through the PC via Bluetooth.

It has a wireless charger embedded into the base and for added privacy the AiO has a pop up camera. There is also a 27-inch option without Alexa priced at US$1,399.

The AiO will be released later this year with a price to be announced in the near future but expect it to be near the high $1000 mark.

The HP Envy line-up has seven devices which include laptops and desktops. The Envy portfolio features the Envy 13 laptop, Envy x360 13, Envy x360 15, Envy Desktop and Envy 17 Laptop.

Availability for the new Envy range will begin at the end at the month with all products to be released by July.
