Hisense has expanded its projector lineup with the launch of the PT1 Ultra Short Throw (UST) Triple Laser Cinema.

The PT1 can project images ranging from 80 to 150 inches while sitting just centimetres from the wall.

It’s powered by Hisense’s advanced Triple Laser Light Engine, using pure red, green and blue lasers to achieve 110% of the BT.2020 colour space – wider than most TVs can deliver.

Brightness is rated at 2,500 lumens with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, ensuring vivid detail in both dark and moderately lit rooms.

Picture performance is enhanced with 4K resolution via DLP pixel shifting and Hisense’s 4K AI Upscaler, which sharpens lower-resolution content. HDR support includes Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and IMAX Enhanced certification, promising cinematic-grade visuals.

Filmmaker Mode and MEMC motion smoothing also make the PT1 versatile for movies, sport and gaming.

On the audio front, the projector features a built-in 46W speaker system supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It’s also WiSA-ready for seamless integration with wireless surround systems, while HDMI eARC connectivity allows easy hook-up to high-end audio gear.

Smart functionality comes via Google TV, giving users direct access to streaming apps without an external device. The PT1 also supports voice control through Google Assistant and Alexa, plus Apple AirPlay and Control4 for smart home integration.

Designed to blend into modern living spaces, the PT1’s ultra-short throw design eliminates complicated installation while delivering a massive screen.

This makes it an attractive option for those looking to replace or supplement a large flat-panel TV.
