Harman Kardon Returns With Enchant Soundbar to Take On Sonos
Harman Kardon has returned to the soundbar market with its updated Enchant line, featuring the entry-level Enchant 900 ($839) and flagship Enchant 1100 ($1,527), along with optional subwoofer and surround speakers that create a complete home theatre system priced competitively against premium rivals.
The new Enchant lineup includes the Enchant Sub ($686) and Enchant speakers ($533 each) for rear surround duties.
The main differences between the soundbar models include additional drivers on the Enchant 1100 (11 versus 9 speakers), larger cabinet size, and more powerful amplification suitable for larger rooms and displays.
When fully configured with subwoofer and rear speakers, the Enchant 1100 system delivers up to 7.1.4-channel immersive surround sound through front-firing, upward-firing, and side-firing drivers.
The complete flagship system costs $3,279, approximately $840 less than a comparable Sonos ARC Ultra system with Sub 4 and ERA 300 rear channels.
The Enchant soundbars include two HDMI ports, providing a significant advantage over competing models from Sonos and Bose that offer only a single HDMI connection.
The second HDMI port allows direct connection of gaming consoles, UHD Blu-ray players, or other devices for lossless immersive surround sound, particularly beneficial for older TVs that don’t support Dolby Atmos or DTS:X passthrough.
Both soundbar models support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding while passing through Dolby Vision and HDR10 to connected displays.

The Enchant 1100 features additional connectivity, including USB ports for updates and MP3 playback, Ethernet jack for wired networking, Bluetooth 5.3, and fibre optic digital input for older television compatibility.
Harman’s PureVoice feature enhances dialog clarity, while MultiBeam beam-forming technology creates surround effects through strategic driver placement.
The soundbars include built-in Wi-Fi with Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and Spotify Connect compatibility for multi-room audio functionality.
The Enchant products incorporate sustainable materials, including 85% recycled plastic, 100% recycled aluminium, and 100% recycled polyester yarn.
The devices are Energy Star-certified and packaged in FSC-certified paper with soy ink printing.
The Harman Kardon One mobile app for iOS and Android provides control, automatic calibration, EQ adjustment, and music source browsing across compatible speakers throughout the home.
A traditional remote control is also included with the soundbars.
At $1,527 for the standalone Enchant 1100, Harman Kardon enters the competitive premium soundbar market alongside established players from Sonos, Bose, LG, and Samsung.
The complete system’s competitive pricing and dual HDMI functionality target consumers seeking immersive surround experiences with enhanced connectivity flexibility.
Pre-orders are available through authorised Harman Kardon dealers, with shipments expected to begin in October 2025.
