Fujitsu General Australia Appoints New Deputy MD
Following last year’s controversy with Bunnings and Harvey Norman, Fujitsu General Australia has appointed Mr Koji Nakao as its new Deputy Managing Director. It follows the promotion of long-standing employee, Mr Philip Perham, from Deputy to Managing Director in April last year.
After Perham’s appointment, former Fujitsu General Australia MD, Mr Toru Ishizuka, remained on the company’s executive team as Chairman.
New Australian Deputy Managing Director, Mr Koji Nakao, comes from Fujitisu General Japan, and holds over thirty years experience with the company, across several international financial planning roles.
Managing Director, Philip Perham, states Mr Nakao’s appointment will strengthen the company’s local position – he will play a “pivotal role” in growing the organisation’s market share.
The news comes after ChannelNews reported Fujitsu General’s intention to supply Bunnings last year – a move which sources claim upset Harvey Norman. At the time, Fujitsu General affirmed it would review its relationship with Bunnings in March 2018.
In addition to his Australian duties, Nakao will also reportedly be the Director of Fujitsu General NZ.
