Former Ecovacs Country Manager Running For One Nation

Former ECOVACS Country Manager, Damian Commane, is running as a House of Representatives candidate for Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party, within the electorate of McMahon.

Mr Commane joined ECOVACS as Country Manager (ANZ) in June 2017, and departed early this year.

Commane was formerly the Head of Channel, Distribution and Partners for Belkin Australia, and prior to that a Senior National Account Manager with Samsung Electronics.

Campaigning a as representative for McMahon, Commane claims his concerns include cost of living, job security and freedom of religion.

Former B&O Play Country Manager, Karen Powell, took the reins from Commane in March 2019, and prior to this was the Director of Sales for Jabra’s ANZ consumer division.

Chinese-based ECOVACS is best known for its stable of robotic vacuums, after breaking into the Australian market in late 2017.

“We have established a strong foundation and I look forward to introducing more Australians to the benefits of robotics in their home and showcasing the wide range of innovative solutions available in the ECOVACS range,” said Ms Powell on appointment.

ECOVACS products are locally sold from the likes of Harvey Norman, Godfreys, JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings Warehouse, ALDI and Bing Lee.

The company has pledged to launch into the New Zealand market this year.
