 First Google Maps, now YouTube has been mysteriously zapped from Apple new iOS 6. Thats what 9to5Mac uncovered when fiddling around with the beta version of iOS 6, due out soon.
Apple claims the ending of the license agreement with Google was the reason behind the disappearance of the super popular video site. However, worry not Apple users. Google are making their own YouTube app especially for iOS 6 users. “Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store,” Apple told The Verge. However, the banishing of YouTube and failure to renew the contract is another clear sign Apple is looking to bin Google , the makers of rival OS Android, app completely from its menu and ecosystem. |
