EXCLUSIVE: JB Hi Fi Launch New FFalcon TV Brand Made By TCL

JB Hi F is looking to grow sales in the value TV market with a brand new high specked brand called FFalcon, which has been custom designed and manufactured for the Australian market and is exclusive to the big retailer.

The new FFalcon range which includes two model types, is manufactured by TCL the second biggest TV manufacturer in the world and is aimed at the value market.

This is a category that is proving highly popular with consumers with the new JB Hi Fi offering tipped to put pressure on TV’s brands currently being sold by Aldi, Big W and discount TV’s sold by Bing Lee and Harvey Norman.

Despite housing an Ultra High Definition 4K display, HDR, and delivering TV smarts such as Netflix Stan and YouTube, the FFalcon TV’s are competitively priced.

According to JB Hi Fi CEO Cameron Trainor the new FFalcon range deliver “Excellent value and are heavily specked for the Australian market delivering excellent display performance and new content streaming features”.

JB Hi Fi Group management believe the brand will compete head on with several value brands in the Australian market and allow them to grow sales in this segment of the market without impacting their premium TV sales.

Founded in July 2017, FFalcon is a global TV brand backed by TCL who recently took the #1 slot in the highly competitive US market and known for their high quality automated TV manufacturing.

ChannelNews understands JB Hi -Fi will be ranging 2 different series of FFalcon TVs.

The new UF1 Series range which is a Smart Ultra HD range features Stan, Netflix and YouTube as well as YUPPTV streaming apps.

The UF1 FFalcon series also features HDR which provides viewers accurate reproduction of light and dark shades in dazzling detail.

The new UF1 range comes in a 65” model that will sell for $798, there is also a 55” model that will retail for $598 and a 50” model that will retail for $448.

The $798 65” UF1 is a Ultra High Definition TV this model has a 3840 x 2160, 4K display and HDR.

The contrast ratio is: 5000:1 Brightness: 320 nits.

Other specs include, HDMI Inputs x 3 (1.4a & 2.0) USB 2.0 x 2 (MP3 / AC3 / AAC / JPEG / PNG / BMP / GIF / H.265 / H.264 / MPEG 1/2/3/4 Compatible.

It also has headphone output and AV in as well as 2.4GHz Wi Fi and Ethernet Optical SPDIF Output on board.

In addition, JB Hi-Fi will also be range the new F1 series in a 40” Full HD model, and a 24” and 32” HD models.
