eBay Plus Launches In Oz Today

eBay’s new membership programme, eBay Plus is now available to Aussie customers which offers free shipping for delivery and returns from tens of thousands of retailers.

This membership programme is eBay taking on Amazon Australia after its launch late last year.

eBay Plus will give members free delivery and returns on 15 million products from retailers such as Myer, Target and Chemist Warehouse.

The rewards programme also offers exclusive deals for members, bonus flybuys points and a dedicated customer support team.

The programme is priced at $49 a year with a special introductory offer of $29 for a limited time.

Tim MacKinnon managing director of eBay ANZ says the introduction of eBay Plus is a ‘game-changer’ for Aussie shoppers and will address the pain-point of delivery costs.

“eBay Plus is the ultimate shopping membership. It’s like getting free delivery from your local shopping centre without leaving home. You sign up to eBay Plus and receive free delivery and returns on 15 million items from tens of thousands of Aussie retailers including Myer, Target and Chemist Warehouse.”

eBay Plus was first launched in Germany in 2015 with Australia being the second country to get the membership programme.
