DJI Rolls Out Dual-Camera Osmo Pocket 4P As Insta360 Legal Battle Heats Up
DJI has launched the Osmo Pocket 4P in China, its first pocket gimbal camera to feature two main cameras, as its legal fight with rival Insta360 intensifies.
The Osmo Pocket 4P builds on the standard Osmo Pocket 4, adding a second 60mm telephoto camera designed for portraits, interviews and tighter framing.
The launch follows DJI’s preview last month at the Cannes Film Festival in France, pitching it as its most advanced pocket-sized creator camera yet.
It also lands just days after DJI and Insta360 traded patent lawsuits in the US over competing handheld vlogging cameras, including Insta360’s newly launched Luna Ultra.
The model’s primary camera uses a 1-inch sensor with a 20mm equivalent lens and f/2.0 aperture. DJI claims the camera can capture up to 17 stops of dynamic range, while both cameras support 10-bit colour and the company’s new D-Log 2 profile.

The 60mm telephoto lens has an f/1.8 aperture, offers 3x optical zoom and up to 12x total zoom, giving creators more flexibility than previous Pocket models.
The camera also supports 4K video at up to 240 frames per second, slow-shutter recording, six built-in film-style colour presets and real-time beauty adjustments.
DJI has also upgraded subject tracking with Intelligent Follow 8.0, including multi-person tracking and zoom-based subject following.
On the hardware front, the Osmo Pocket 4P includes 103GB of built-in storage, USB 3.1 transfers, Wi-Fi live streaming, webcam support and a battery rated for up to 210 minutes.

The camera starts at 3,799 yuan, or around A$860, while a Vlog Kit with a DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter, remote viewfinder and mini tripod costs 4,299 yuan, or around A$975.
The launch comes as DJI seeks to block sales of Insta360’s Luna Ultra in the US, alleging patent infringement. Insta360 has denied the claims and filed its own countersuits.
Global availability for the Osmo Pocket 4P is expected to follow, though US availability remains uncertain.
