Disney+ will soon be crowned king of the streaming services, according to a new analyst report.
A study from Digital TV Research projects that Disney+ subscribers would hit 284.2 million by 2026, passing Netflix who is estimated to have 270.2 million subs at that same point.
The report also predicts that, by 2026, Disney, Netflix, and Amazon will control “nearly half” of the global streaming market.
Other streaming companies will growth market share by 2026, with Amazon hitting 243.4 users by 2026, HBO Max will reach 76.3 million, while Apple TV+ (which doesn’t publish sub numbers) will have 35.6 million subscribers.
As things stand now, Netflix has 209 million global subscribers, while Disney+ boasts 116 million.
