French audio brand Devialet has released a limited-edition ‘Pulse Blue’ version of its Phantom Ultimate 98 dB wireless speaker.

The new model, fronted by French Red Bull F1 driver Isack Hadjar, retains the hardware and acoustic performance of the existing Phantom Ultimate 98 dB but introduces redesigned side panels that transition from matte to gloss.

A mirror-polished surface and clear varnish enhance the deep blue finish, while Devialet has also refined its logo and produced a matching version of the Tree speaker stand.

The compact powered speaker contains a 400W amplifier and delivers a claimed frequency response of 18Hz to 25kHz, with sound pressure levels reaching 98dB.

Devialet’s proprietary technologies include Analog Digital Hybrid amplification, which combines Class A and Class D designs, and Speaker Active Matching, which adjusts the audio signal to the drivers in real time.

Its Heart Bass Implosion architecture uses two synchronised side-mounted woofers to deliver bass extending to 18Hz, while Adaptive Volume Level dynamically adjusts equalisation to preserve detail at different listening levels.

The speaker can operate individually or as part of stereo and multiroom configurations. Connectivity includes AirPlay, Google Cast, Bluetooth, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and UPnP.

Devialet’s app provides Music, Podcast and Cinema listening modes alongside a six-band equaliser, Bass Reducer and Loudness controls.

The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB Pulse Blue is available to pre-order in Australia for A$3,500. The matching Tree stand costs A$449, while a stereo pair is priced at A$7,000.

The release follows Devialet’s limited-edition Roland-Garros Phantom Ultimate speakers, which launched back in May and feature clay-red finishes and French Open branding.
