Dell Alienware will be launching two new gaming monitors with the world’s first 360Hz QD-OLED and 4K QD-OLED monitors.
This January fans of Alienware can expect the release to include a 32-inch QD-OLED with 4K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate plus a 27-inch 360Hz QD-OLED.
Ahead of Dell’s unveiling, MSI’s 2024 lineup was leaked and allegedly included the first 32-inch 4K 240Hz QD-OLED panel and the first 27-inch 360Hz QD-OLED panel, the very same models Dell just announced.
Now with Dell saying they will launch the new monitors in January, we can expect to see them at CES 2024.
We’re thinking this also indicates that Samsung Display has probably begun production of the 2024 QD-OLED panels.
The 32-inch Alienware AW3225QF has a curved QD-OLED with 4K resolution (3840×2160), a 240Hz refresh rate, and 3-year OLED burn-in warranty.
Similarly, the 27″ Alienware AW2725DF also has a 3-year OLED burn-in warranty but is a flat QD-OLED with QHD (2560×1440) resolution, and 360Hz refresh rate.
With the OLED’s highspeed response time, the 360Hz OLED panel may equal or surpass a 500Hz LCD panel. It is expected that the monitor will still release deep blacks, high peak brightness for HDR gaming and high contrast.
We will have to wait until CES to see if QD-OLED will dominate the market in 2024.
