CES 2020: Audio Technica Noise Cancelling In-Ears With Exclusive Function

Audio Technica has unveiled their latest pair of in-ear earbuds sporting active noise cancelling (ANC) and an exclusive technology created by Qualcomm.

Set to launch this Autumn for US$230, the ANC300TW feature 5.8 mm drivers as well as two microphones for optimal noise cancellation using Qualcomm’s Clear Voice Capture.

Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus, however, is the exclusive feature included in the new earbuds.

This special low-latency function ensures disruption-free audio playback, though it requires a compatible smartphone and device.

A list of Qualcomm chipsets that support the functionality can be found here, though no word on iOS support.

Qualcomm claims Stereo Plus can reduce power consumption by 65% compared to previous generation devices.

The ANC300TW boasts 4.5 hours of continuous use on a full charge, with 13.5 hours of extra juice from USB-C charging case.

Paired with the Audio-Technica Connect app users can customise audio playback and choose from three different noise-cancelling modes including Airplane, On-the-Go and an Office/Study mode.

The earbuds are compatible with the high-quality Qualcomm® aptX audio and AAC codecs.
