Bowers & Wilkins Introduces $75,000 ‘Signature’ Speakers

Bowers & Wilkins is giving its 800 series a makeover, adding two new Signature speakers to the popular range.

The 801 D4 Signature and 805 D4 Signature are both available in Midnight Blue Metallic paint and California Burl Gloss wood veneer, and both come with a ‘premium’ price tag – at approximately A$75,000, and A$18,000 respectively.

The 801 D4 Signature is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker, with a 25mm Diamond Dome tweeter, two 250mm Aerofoil Cone bass drivers, and a 150mm Continuum cone FST midrange.

It boasts a frequency range of 13Hz to 35kHz, with 90dB sensitivity.

The more realistic 805 D4 Signature is a stand-mount speaker set (above), with a 25mm Diamond Dome tweeter, and a 165mm Continuum cone midrange and bass speakers. The aluminium top plater will reduce “unwanted noise and vibration”.

Both speakers are available now.
