Beyerdynamic Launches Budget-Friendly AVENTHO 100 Wireless Headphones
Beyerdynamic has launched the AVENTHO 100 wireless headphones, a more affordable alternative to its flagship AVENTHO 300 model that emphasises retro styling and fundamental audio performance over advanced features.
The AVENTHO 100 features 45mm dynamic drivers developed in Germany, delivering what the company describes as clean, balanced sound with satisfying low-end response, clear midrange, and detailed high frequencies.
The headphones include Active Noise Cancelling technology and Qualcomm cVc technology for improved call quality, targeting users who prioritise audio fundamentals over spatial audio features found in competing models.
Designed for extended wear and travel use, the AVENTHO 100 incorporates plush, replaceable ear pads and a lightweight, foldable design for portability.
The headphones offer up to 60 hours of playback without ANC or 40 hours with noise cancelling enabled, while a 15-minute quick charge provides an additional 15 hours of listening time to support long-distance travel scenarios.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint support for seamless switching between devices, on-ear controls for calls and playback, and traditional 3.5mm auxiliary input for wired connections.
The headphones support AAC, SBC, aptX Lossless, and aptX Adaptive codecs with up to 15 meters of Bluetooth transmission range.

Users can access additional functionality through Beyerdynamic’s MIY mobile application, which provides adjustable ANC settings, firmware updates, and personalisation tools.
The app maintains what the company describes as a clean and efficient interface, focused on performance enhancement rather than complex feature sets.
“AVENTHO 100 reflects our continued commitment to craftsmanship, comfort, cutting-edge sound,” said Andreas Rapp, CEO of Beyerdynamic.
“We set out to create a headphone that nods to classic design while delivering the performance and features today’s listeners expect – style, sound quality, and everyday versatility.”
The AVENTHO 100 represents a strategic simplification compared to the AVENTHO 300, eliminating features such as STELLAR.45 drivers, Dolby Atmos support, and head tracking technology while maintaining core audio performance and extending battery life.
The model weighs 220 grams compared to the AVENTHO 300’s 319 grams, contributing to improved comfort for extended use.
The headphones face significant competition in the wireless audio market from established players, including Sony and Yamaha, which offer spatial audio and head tracking at similar price points.
Beyerdynamic’s strategy focuses on users who prioritise traditional audio quality and classic design aesthetics over advanced technological features.
The AVENTHO 100 includes an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, four digital microphones for noise cancelling and call quality, and supports Google Fast Pair for simplified Android device pairing.
The package includes a USB-C charging cable, a 3.5mm auxiliary cable, a soft carry bag, and documentation.
Australian pricing has not been announced, though based on the Canadian pricing structure, the headphones are expected to retail for approximately AU$320-350 when they become available in the Australian market.
