Azure Contributed To Over Half of Microsoft’s Cloud Sales

Microsoft Chief Executive Officer, Satya Nadella claims Azure cloud has accounted for over half of $110 billion cloud revenue for the company this year.

This also represents a jump in Azure revenue of around $34 billion, an amount disclosed as part of the US Federal Trade Commission lawsuit during the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

It was also reported some growth came from Azure OpenAI, with now 11,000 customers, compared to approximately 4,500 in mid May.
