Aqipa Set To Enter Premium Short Throw Laser Projector Market

Melbourne-based distributor Aqipa has picked up the Australian distribution rights to the all-new Awol Vision, a premium short-throw projector designed for the custom install market.

The latest offering of the 4K Awol Vision Vanish projector was revealed at the 2023 Consumer Electronic Show, Called ‘The Vanish’, it consists of three separate pieces, including an LTV-3500 ultra-short-throw laser projector, a 100 or 120-inch roll-up screen and a smart cabinet with built-in 36-watt speakers.

The other Company looking to enter the short-throw laser market in Australia is global camera Company, Leica, who are tipped to enter the market in the second half. They are currently looking for a national sales director.

The new Aqipa offering also has three built-in projectors and delivers 3,500 NASI lumens and more than 1 billion colours.

It’s also compatible with 4K video, HDR 10+ and active 3D.

According to Aqipa General Manager Chris Scott the new offering is actually capable of projecting images up to 150-inches in size.

The all-in-one solution comes in two versions, with screen sizes limited to either 100 inches or 120 inches.

In the US, the entry level price is around $4,600 or A$6,926 while the total package is A$22,900. This could result in the Australian price being around $30K.
