Lenovo appears to be preparing a two-device Googlebook assault on the Windows PC market, with new leaks revealing a premium 15-inch laptop and a Surface-style 2-in-1 tablet that could be unveiled at IFA next month.

The leaked Googlebook 15 features a slim aluminium-style chassis, narrow display bezels and prominent Googlebook branding beneath the keyboard.

A dedicated Google ‘G’ key replaces the traditional Windows key and is expected to provide direct access to Gemini, while another key appears to act as an app launcher.

The keyboard is flanked by Dolby Atmos-branded speakers and sits above a large, centred trackpad. Despite its 15-inch size, Lenovo has reportedly skipped a numeric keypad.

Connectivity includes two USB-C ports, USB-A, HDMI, a memory card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the webcam notch includes a physical privacy shutter.

The leaked desktop interface combines an Android-style status bar with a more traditional taskbar containing shortcuts for Chrome, Gmail, YouTube, Canva and Adobe Premiere Pro.

The inclusion of Adobe’s video editing software appears intended to position Googlebook as a credible alternative to premium Windows laptops rather than another low-cost Chromebook.

Lenovo is also reportedly preparing a detachable Googlebook tablet with a rear kickstand, removable keyboard and magnetic stylus, placing it in direct competition with Microsoft’s Surface range.

The tablet is tipped to feature quad Dolby Atmos speakers and the same dedicated Google key found on the larger laptop.

Processor, memory, storage, battery and pricing details remain unknown, although reports suggest Lenovo could formally reveal both devices at IFA Berlin in September.

As ChannelNews previously reported, Googlebook devices are expected to reach Australian retailers during the fourth quarter, with Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo among the first partners.
