Liebherr has added two more accolades to its refrigeration portfolio, with a pair of its recently introduced built-under appliances receiving Red Dot Design Awards 2026 for their combination of design, functionality and user-focused engineering.

The award-winning products are the Fully Integrated Under Counter Fridge with VarioCool Drawers (URDd 375i) and the Fully Integrated Built-Under Prime Outdoor Fridge (UORpr 366i). The internationally recognised Red Dot Design Awards honour products that excel in areas including aesthetics, innovation, usability and responsible design.

Liebherr earns two Red Dot Design Awards 2026 for its integrated under-counter refrigerators

Both refrigerators are designed to integrate neatly beneath kitchen worktops while offering premium finishes and advanced cooling technology suited to different living environments.

The URDd 375i is aimed at homeowners looking for a flexible refrigeration solution within the kitchen. Its standout feature is a series of independently controlled VarioCool drawers, allowing different temperature settings to be selected for individual compartments. This makes it suitable for storing a wider variety of fresh food while also serving as a secondary refrigeration zone or an accessible under-counter appliance.

The model also incorporates Liebherr’s Touch & Swipe control panel, remote management through the SmartDevice app, LED interior lighting and soft-closing telescopic drawer runners. Storage is further enhanced by the company’s FlexSystem and FlexBox organisers, while satin-finished glass shelves and stainless-steel accents deliver a premium appearance.

In announcing the awards, the Red Dot jury praised the appliance for combining understated styling with highly adaptable food storage and advanced cooling technology.

Liebherr’s second winner targets the growing outdoor kitchen market. The Fully Integrated Built-Under Prime Outdoor Fridge has been engineered to operate throughout the year in covered outdoor entertaining spaces, with reliable cooling in ambient temperatures ranging from -10 degrees Celsius to +32 degrees Celsius.

Designed to withstand outdoor conditions, the refrigerator features IPX4-rated splash-water protection, stainless-steel construction, an insulated glass door and BlackSteel decorative trim. Additional features include integrated LED lighting, a replaceable door seal and a DoorLock security system to help protect stored food and beverages.

The Red Dot judges highlighted the appliance’s practical features and refined interior, describing it as a valuable addition to modern outdoor kitchens.

Both models have been designed to fit beneath standard kitchen benchtops, with adjustable installation heights between 82cm and 92cm, giving designers and homeowners greater flexibility when planning indoor or outdoor spaces.

Liebherr said the awards reflect its ongoing focus on combining precision engineering with practical everyday functionality. The company has unveiled the award-winning models overseas, with Australian availability yet to be confirmed.
