Apple TV App Arrives On Titan OS As Philips Expands Streaming Options
Titan OS has taken another step towards becoming a more complete smart TV platform with the arrival of the Apple TV app across supported devices. The addition gives users access to Apple’s streaming catalogue while bringing support for premium viewing features including 4K resolution, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
The platform has become increasingly important to Philips following the company’s decision to move away from Google TV across its latest television range. After initially introducing Titan OS on selected budget models, Philips has now adopted the operating system throughout its 2026 TV lineup, including its OLED offerings.
Although Titan OS has faced criticism for a smaller app library compared with more established platforms, its catalogue has grown steadily. Major streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max and YouTube are already available, while additional regional applications have also joined the platform over time.
The introduction of Apple TV further strengthens Titan OS by adding one of the most recognisable streaming services in the market. Subscribers can access Apple TV+ content, including popular original series and films produced exclusively for the platform.

Philips has confirmed that the Apple TV app supports playback in 4K, HDR10, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos on compatible televisions. Apple Originals are available in 4K HDR quality, allowing viewers to take full advantage of the display and audio capabilities offered by newer TV models.
Compatibility extends across Philips televisions released in 2026 and 2025, along with selected models launched in 2024. This means some existing owners will gain access to the service without needing to upgrade their hardware.
It remains unclear whether the app on Titan OS includes Apple’s digital storefront for purchasing or renting films. Availability of those features can vary between different third-party platforms, and confirmation has yet to be provided.
While Philips remains the primary manufacturer using Titan OS, the operating system is also present on selected televisions from brands including AOC and JVC. With the addition of Apple TV and more streaming services expected to arrive in the future, Titan OS continues its effort to establish itself as a stronger competitor in the smart TV market.
