Apple Accidentally Brick Own Smartwatch

Whoops, they did it again.

Only months after accidentally bricking the handsets of users who updated to iOS 10, Apple have accidentally left Apple Watch users in the lurch.

Reports say that after downloading version 3.1.1 of the company’s WatchOS, they were left with a hard-locked and unusable device that did nothing but display a red exclamation mark and direct them to Appleā€™s Help page.

In the wake of the complaints, Apple has suspended the software update and advised affected Apple Watch users to contact Apple support.

The exact cause of the issue is unknown at this time. However, according to AppleInsider, the problems seem to predominantly affect users of the company’s new Series 2 model watches.

The software was intended to be a minor one, bringing with it a number of new emojis and minor bug fixes.

Apple has not made any public as of yet.
