Another Mass Netflix User Exodus Coming
A survey of Netflix users suggest that the hard times are far from over for the leading video streamer.
According to a survey of American Netflix users commissioned by Reviews.org, 25 per cent of current subscribers are planning on cancelling the service with in the past twelve months.
If we are to take this at face value (the survey was of just 1,000 users, so it isn’t the largest sample size), this could spell doom for Netflix, with a further 18 million subscribers fleeing within a year.
This follows the 1.2 million subs lost this year, which has all but cancelled any leeway the service has made in the Asia-Pacific region, its fastest growing customer base in the world.

The overwhelming reason for the upcoming user purge is creeping subscription costs, which Netflix is hoping its ad-supported tier, due in early November, will arrest.
This may not be enough, though. With ‘missing titles’ the reason for 21 per cent of users, and 30 per cent admitting they use enough streaming service more, Netflix may simply be losing its early lead in the streaming wars.
