Apple Launch Fix For Camera Shake Bug With iOS 16.0.2

Following widespread reports of the iPhone 14 Pro suffering from camera shake in third-party apps,  Apple has issued a fix.

iOS 16.0.2, which is now available for download, mends the issue that many early users of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max suffered when using apps such as Instagram and TikTok, where the camera would shake, and make a loud clicking noise.

The issue however was not apparent when using the stock camera app.

Whilst the cause of the issue has not been disclosed by Apple, the release notes for the update say “Camera may vibrate and cause blurry photos when shooting with some third-party apps on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.”

iOS 16.0.2 also fixed an issue that caused a permission prompt to appear extra frequently when copying and pasting between apps, as well as one that caused the display to go black during setup, and another that prevented VoiceOver from being used after a reboot.

iOS 16.0.2 is now available from Settings > General > Software Update on compatible iPhones.
