Alexa Adds Apple Music In Australia, New Zealand

Amazon Alexa devices can now play Apple Music in Australia and New Zealand.

Alexa users need to enable the functionality through Amazon’s “skills” store or through the Alexa app to set Apple Music as their default streaming service.

It means Alexa users will be able to take advantage of Apple Music’s curated playlists and radio stations through their Alexa-powered smart speakers, that compete with Apple’s HomePod line of smart speakers.

It comes after the Apple TV app rolled out to Samsung Smart TVs, as part of Apple’s continued push into streaming content.
