Acer Goes After The B2B Channel
Acer, which has achieved enormous success in the Aussie gaming market, is upping the ante by expanding out into B2B, with the launch of a new wide-ranging Diamond Partner Program, designed to give channel partners a competitive edge.
A program of this nature was hinted at back in November and will be rolling out from today.
Acer currently dominates the US, European, and Australian PC gaming markets, despite a global downturn in PC purchases.
The company recently post a 2.2% lift in 2018 full year revenue, with gaming full-year revenue soaring 70% [YoY], and 32% in Q4.
It has reportedly become more “selective” in regards to which retailers can stock its products.
“We have the products that consumers business and gamers want, and we are here to work with retail partners in growing the demand for our premium products,” said an Acer executive.
The aim of the new program is to help Acer partners gain stronger margin results by offering target rebates and benefits, a demonstration program, partner deal registration — for exclusive rights to supply Acer products — and special bid pricing.
Target rebates and benefits will be offered across four tiers — Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum — and will include upskilling sales teams to run effective marketing strategies, with Acer events participation, and marketing development funds.
Authorised Acer dealers will have access to a dedicated channel manager and Acer Business Development teams with Business Development Program (BDP) pricing.
Acer is launching its Acer Diamond Partner Portal with a companion mobile app to provide instant access to Acer’s latest news, promotions, and marketing material.
