Amazon Launch ‘One-Stop Shop’ Back To Uni Sale

Amazon Australia has sought to be a ‘one-stop shop’ for tertiary students, with the launch of its ‘Off to University’ sale – featuring discounted laptops, headphones, textbooks, stationery and more.

Valid until March 31, the sale features a slew of discounted consumer electronics including; notebooks, headphones, earbuds, and Amazon smart speakers.

Discounted laptops include a 11.6-inch Acer Aspire for $280.99 (RRP $351), HP 15-inch LED Pavilion laptop for $1,088.00 (RRP $1,555.15) and ASUS Chromebook Flip 12.5-inch notebook for $422.99 (RRP $422.99).

Promotional headphones include Marshall Major II Bluetooth Headphones for $185.41, Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) for $399, and Jabra Elite Sport Wireless Earbuds for $319.

By comparison, JB Hi-Fi is currently selling the Marshall Major II Bluetooth Headphones for $199, and Jabra Elite Sport Earbuds for $349.

Proving not all items in the sale are discounted, JB Hi-Fi is also selling Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) for $399.

In a bid to further target students, users can now search for textbooks by inputting the ISBN, title or author within Amazon’s search bar.

The promotion claims to offer up to 50% off selected textbooks.

The sale follows a recent study that 3-in-5 university students agree finances are a source of worry, with 1-in-3 admitting living expenses exceeded their income.

The Universities of Australia Student Finances Survey 2017 claims 1-in-10 students have deferred their studies because they could not afford to continue.
