Acer Australia Plans New Focus For 2019

Acer Australia is planning a renewed business focus in 2019, reforming its channel by adding partners to develop its presence in the small-to-medium business market and build a new online store, reports CRN.

According to the report, Greg Mikaelian, Acer’s general manager for channels and marketing told CRN that ACER has not maintained business practices that served them well in the past by returning higher revenues.

Mikaelian stated that Acer has not collaborated with its partners closely enough and plans to refocus business interests by “returning to joint business reviews” and “revisiting Acer’s financial arrangement” for its partners.

This new change of direction will reportedly see a revamped “state-of-the-art” online store and instead of Acer selling directly to buyers it will “nourish partners” by directing customers to their sites for “fulfilment and service.”

According to CRN, Synnex’s PC-as-a-service offering will also be part of this new sales focus in addition to partner recruitment.

Acer Australia has recently secured a contract with the Victorian government and continues to perform well in the gaming market, being “Australia’s #1 PC gaming company”.

Apparently, these new practices will take effect in early 2019.
