LGUnveiled earlier in the year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Spirit and Leon are set to land in the local market from late April/early May.

The “gently curved” Spirit sports a 4.7″ HD display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, comes with 8 GB internal memory and 1 GB RAM, a 2,100 mAh battery, and is decked out with an 8 MP main camera and a 1 MP front camera.

The Leon features a 4.5″ FWVGA display, is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8 GB internal memory and 1 GB RAM, a 1,900 mAh battery, and sports a 5 MP main camera and front VGA camera.

Both the Spirit and the Leon run Android 5.0 Lollipop, feature in-cell touch displays, boosting the sensitivity of the screen, and are 4G compatible.

Both smartphones feature Gesture Shot, designed for taking selfies with a hand gesture, and Glance View, providing the information users most commonly require from their mobile with a quick downward swipe of the screen.

The LG Spirit will be available through Vodafone on pre-paid plans at $199 RRP from Vodafone stores and Mo’s Mobiles from late April, and from selected retailers, including Big W, from May.

The LG Leon will be available through Optus on pre-paid plans at $149 RRP from Optus stores, Kmart, Dick Smith and Harvey Norman.
