ZenWatch To Arrive In Oz From April
Produced in partnership with Google, the ZenWatch features a 1.63″ AMOLED touch display with curved Gorilla Glass 3 and a steel case designed to follow the contour of the wrist, along with a 22 mm changeable stitched leather strap and a selection of instantly changeable watch faces.
Pairing with Android smartphones (compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 or higher), the ZenWatch allows wearers to view incoming calls, messages and notifications, while the ZenWatch Manager app provides enhanced smartphone integration, including the ability to configure watch faces directly from a smartphone. Advanced features include Asus ZenUI integration, Unlock My Phone, Cover to Mute and Find My Phone, with Remote Camera and Presentation Control available by using the ZenWatch with the Remote Camera and Remote Link smartphone apps. Versions of ZenUI apps, such as What’s Next and Do It Later, designed to aid in scheduling, are also available on the ZenWatch. The ZenWatch “helps wearers maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle”, with a built-in biosensor measuring relaxation levels, while the Wellness app tracks and displays health-related stats, including steps taken, calories burned, heart rate, activity duration and exercise intensity. Asus has also partnered with Jawbone to bring its UP activity tracker and smart coach to the ZenWatch. The ZenWatch will be available at Bing Lee from April for $289, and will also be available through Asus’ online store on pre-order in April. It is available now on Google Play. |
