Sonos App Update Now Available
Having been in beta testing for several weeks, Sonos has now officially released the 5.3 update, available for compatible iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Sonos states the update will provide “simpler room control, an improved design for the tablet app, and a quicker way to move back and forth between screens”.
“The update introduces some new things for your Sonos and fixes others that we did not get right with the release of the Sonos app last spring,” it is stated via the Sonos blog.
Among the app’s upgrades is a new drop-down menu at its top centre, designed to easily group or ungroup rooms in a few taps, while by swiping down users can now instantly go from Now Playing to browsing, and to go back one step further to the menu can swipe right from the far left to view all music sources.
Another upgrade sees the track progression bar more prominently displayed in the Now Playing screen, below the album art, with users able to navigate to whatever point in the song they wish to play.
