Eufy is stepping up its push at the premium end of Australia’s robot vacuum market, with its Omni S2 combining 30,000Pa suction, roller mopping and advanced AI navigation in a package currently priced at $2,299 through The Good Guys.

Rather than being a new Australian launch, the Omni S2 is now being positioned as one of Eufy’s higher-end options for households wanting more automated floor care across carpet, hard floors and pet-heavy homes.

Its AeroTurbo 2.0 system produces up to 30,000Pa of suction, targeting embedded dirt and pet hair while adjusting its cleaning behaviour as it moves between different surfaces.

The robot can recognise carpet, modify suction and height settings and automatically lift its mop to help prevent wetting rugs. Eufy says it can handle carpets up to 5cm thick.

Hard-floor cleaning is handled by the HydroJet 2.0 system, which uses a continuously refreshed roller mop rather than dragging the same damp pad around the home.

The roller operates at 240rpm and applies 15N of downward pressure, while clean water is continuously supplied during operation. Electrolysed water is also used as part of the cleaning process.

Eufy has also focused heavily on automation.

CleanMind AI works with the company’s 3D MatrixEye 2.0 system to recognise more than 200 types of obstacles, identify different rooms and adjust cleaning behaviour accordingly.

The robot can avoid objects as small as 1cm and negotiate raised thresholds of up to 4.2cm, helping it move more easily between rooms in homes with uneven flooring.

Hair management is another area being targeted, with DuoSpiral anti-tangle brushes designed to reduce the amount of long hair and pet fur that becomes wrapped around the cleaning rollers.

Once cleaning is complete, the robot returns to its 12-in-1 UniClean station.

The dock can wash and dry the mop, manage detergent and water, and automatically empty the robot’s dustbin. Eufy says the system can hold collected dust for up to 68 days before the bag requires attention.

Other features include app-controlled multi-floor mapping, extending edge-cleaning brushes and an integrated fragrance diffuser capable of operating for up to 120 hours.

The Omni S2 sits in an increasingly crowded premium robot vacuum segment in Australia, where brands including Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Dyson and MOVA are competing heavily on suction, obstacle avoidance and automated mopping.

Current Australian pricing also places it firmly in that premium category. The Good Guys lists the Omni S2 at $2,299, compared with models such as the Roborock Saros 20 at $2,999 and the Ecovacs DEEBOT X8 Pro Omni at $1,999.

Eufy’s Australian online store is also promoting Omni S2 bundles, including an accessory and floor-cleaning package priced at $2,509.99.

The emphasis for Eufy is therefore less about simply offering stronger suction and more about reducing how often owners need to intervene.

With self-emptying, automated mop washing and drying, obstacle detection and dedicated carpet management, the Omni S2 is aimed at households prepared to pay more for a robot vacuum that can handle a wider variety of everyday cleaning tasks with less supervision.
