Premium British audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has added Presto Music to its Music App, giving owners of compatible speakers and headphones direct access to the classical and jazz-focused streaming service.

The integration allows users to browse and play Presto Music from within the Bowers & Wilkins app rather than switching between separate applications. Compatible products include connected speakers such as the Zeppelin and Formation range, as well as supported wireless headphones.

Presto Music specialises in classical and jazz, combining its streaming catalogue with editorial reviews, artist interviews, recommendations and digital booklets.

The service offers more than 300,000 classical and jazz albums and more than 90,000 digital booklets, with high-resolution audio available at up to 24-bit/192kHz through supported hardware and services.

Bowers & Wilkins says its Music App is designed to bring streaming services and device controls together, allowing users to manage playback, speakers and supported headphones through one interface.

The app can also be used to adjust functions such as noise cancellation on compatible headphones, while connected speaker owners can group products for multi-room playback.

Presto Music is available in Australia as well as the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand and a number of European countries.

The addition broadens the selection of specialist music services available to Bowers & Wilkins customers, particularly listeners looking for higher-quality classical and jazz recordings.

Presto Music differs from broader streaming platforms by concentrating heavily on those two genres rather than trying to cover every type of music.

Its classical search functions are also designed around information such as composers, works, artists and recordings, which can make it easier to compare different performances of the same piece.

Presto also operates a Fair Play royalty model that calculates payments based on listening time rather than simply counting individual track plays, an approach intended to better account for longer classical works.

The Bowers & Wilkins partnership follows other Presto integrations across the premium audio sector, including support through BluOS and Eversolo.

Presto Music is offering a free trial through the Bowers & Wilkins Music App for eligible users.

The standard Streaming plan is currently listed at US$10.99 a month, equivalent to approximately A$15.60, while Streaming Plus costs US$14.99 a month, or about A$21.30. The Plus plan adds discounts on eligible physical purchases and delivery. Australian customers may see different final pricing depending on local billing and currency settings.

For Bowers & Wilkins customers, the addition gives classical and jazz listeners another high-resolution streaming option while keeping discovery, playback and product controls inside the same app.
