Denon Adds Drive Amplifier To HEOS Range
The four-zone, eight-channel multi-room amplifier provides similar functionality to both the HEOS Amp and HEOS Link, covering all HEOS zones in a single 2U rack-mountable 3.5″ tall chassis, which Denon states is ideal for custom installers.
Denon states the Drive’s class-D amplification, rack mount ears, active cooling, a wired Ethernet input and pass-through, along with its compact size make it “the perfect choice for a whole-home distributed audio system”. “HEOS Drive was specially created by the custom installer for the custom installer,” Joe Salamanca, of Australian distributor QualiFi, stated of the latest addition to the HEOS range. “The market has been asking for a single chassis, multi-zone, streaming amplifier for years. This is it.” The Drive is part of the HEOS multi-room sound system range, with the HEOS app for iOS, Android and the Kindle Fire allowing users to explore, browse and play music from an existing music library, and from online streaming music services, including Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn and Deezer. The Drive is expected to be available within the next three months for $3,490 RRP. HEOS Drive key features: Four HEOS zones |
