Introducing The SUHD Experience: Samsung Launches 2015 TV Range

Introducing The SUHD Experience: Samsung Launches 2015 TV RangeSamsung’s SUHD range combines 4K UHD detail with nano-crystal technology, with Samsung stating the “nano-crystal semiconductor transmits different colours of light to produce excellent colour purity and light efficiency”.

Seven new SUHD models, ranging in size from 55″ to 88″, are being launched in the Australian market, with most models to be available in April.

The models range in price from the Series 8 JS8000 55″ SUHD TV, carrying a price-tag of $4,999 RRP, through to the Series 9 JS9500 88″ SUHD TV, with a price-tag of $24,999 RRP.

“The Samsung SUHD experience will change the way Australians think about Samsung’s home entertainment and visual display technology – it’s on a completely new level to anything we have ever produced,” Philip Newton, Samsung Electronics Australia corporate vice president, stated.

“By pushing Samsung’s boundaries in colour and picture quality, the SUHD TV range showcases our continuous commitment to innovation in the TV category, offering Australians an outstanding viewing experience.”

In addition to its SUHD range, Samsung is also introducing eight new UHD models to the local market, ranging in size from 55″ to 78″.

Samsung’s UHD range starts at $3,199 RRP for the Series 7 JU7000 55″ UHD TV, through to the Series 7 JU7500 78″ UHD TV, carrying a price-tag of $10,999 RRP.

All of Samsung’s new TV models will run the Tizen smart TV platform, with Newton stating users will be able to stream the likes of Netflix, Presto and Stan.

“We will be offering some of the first purchasers of 2015 Samsung TVs bonus access to Netflix for six months, allowing them to watch UHD content like House of Cards and Marco Polo on our stunning Samsung SUHD displays,” Newton commented.

Samsung has additionally announced a new range of curved soundbars, designed to match the aesthetic look and feel of its new curved TV models, with three new models launching in the Australian market.
