Yamaha Unveils Compact Dolby Atmos Soundbar With Built-In Subwoofer & Low Price
Yamaha has announced a new compact soundbar that combines Dolby Atmos and a built-in subwoofer into one nifty design.Â
The new Yamaha B200A measures approximately 59.7cm wide and 6.4cm high, with the compact soundbar designed for bedrooms, apartments, home offices, gaming setups, smaller televisions and home cinema setups.
The biggest feature is Dolby Atmos, with Yamaha combining the immersive audio format with a built-in subwoofer. The B200A also includes a Bass Extension mode to increase low-frequency performance.
According to Yamaha, the B200A uses two main drivers with the built-in subwoofer, which can create a three-dimensional audio experience.

The soundbar also includes Yamaha’s Clear Voice technology to make dialogue easier to hear when voices compete with music and sound effects.
It features four listening modes – Movie, Standard, Stereo and Game – and Bluetooth capabilities mean the B200A can be used as a wireless music speaker when the TV is off.
Connectivity includes HDMI eARC/ARC, optical and 3.5mm AUX, giving consumers several options whether they want to connect to televisions, gaming systems or other equipment. The soundbar can also be wall-mounted or positioned beneath a TV or computer screen.

The B200A is positioned below Yamaha’s larger soundbar systems and is designed around simplicity rather than a full multi-speaker home theatre installation.
However, with features like Dolby Atmos, integrated bass, dialogue enhancement and Bluetooth all packed into a relatively small package, Yamaha is targeting consumers who want a noticeable upgrade from built-in TV speakers, without necessarily dedicating a large amount of space to an audio system.
Yamaha has announced a US price of US$249.95, with the B200A scheduled to become available in November 2026. Australian availability and pricing are still to be confirmed.
