Xbox One Cheap As Chips
Microsoft has again slashed the price of the Xbox One in the US for the third time since May. The official US price of the 500GB system dropped to US$299, then $279 – now it’s down to $249, exactly half of what it was when it was launched three years ago.
In comparison, Sony’s new unbundled 500GB PlayStation 4 sells for US$339 on Amazon, while bundled versions including one game cost $349.
The Xbox One price cut was announced on Xbox fan site Major Nelson as a limited deal but with no current expiry date.
