Xbox Cloud Gaming Controller Leak Hints At Low-Latency Future
Microsoft’s long-rumoured Xbox Cloud Gaming controller has leaked online, providing an early look at the company’s next push into cloud-based gaming.
The compact controller – first published by Brazilian outlet Tecnoblog after surfacing on the country’s telecommunications regular Anatel – appears noticeably smaller than standard Xbox controllers and features both Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
Unlike existing Xbox controllers that connect through a console, PC or smart device, the new controller is designed to connect directly to Xbox Cloud Gaming servers to reduce latency – a similar approach previously used by Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.

Leaked specifications suggest the controller includes a rechargeable 500mAh battery, USB-C charging and support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi networks. Reports also point to internal Realtek hardware and ARM Cortex processors powering the device.
Rumours suggest Microsoft could unveil the controller at next month’s Xbox Games Showcase alongside a new Xbox Elite Series 3 controller, which has also reportedly leaked.
