Logitech Looking For New Partners
According to the company, the new appointments are part of an expanded channel strategy that will spearhead Logitech’s drive into new market segments beyond the IT sector it currently dominates – including the audiovisual, government and education spaces. Logitech’s Director, George Saad said, “In the current economic climate it is crucial to take the time to review your channel strategy for both efficiency and growth. Our product portfolio has expanded well beyond its traditional area of strength in PC peripherals and our customer base is also very diverse. It’s time to drive the brand into lucrative new market segments and we are looking for the right partners to achieve that.” “The appointment of Scholastic and Altech is just the first step. We’re on the lookout for new partners who have the skills and knowledge to ensure that customers in the new segments receive the information and products they need to make the right, educated purchasing decision,” added Saad. Scholastics Australia joins Ingram Micro and Synnex as a Master Distributor of Logitech products under the Platinum Partner Program. Altech Computers Corporation joins BlueChip Infotech, Mittoni and All Interactive Distribution as a Platinum Sub Distributor. Fluidtek IT, Wireless1 and Centrecom Corporate all remain as Platinum Partners. Paul D’Ambra, Logitech National Channel Sales Manager, is recruiting new partners interested in targeting Logitech’s new markets.
