JB Hi-Fi Appoint New Hardware & Software Managers

Mackie comes to JB from the NARTA Buying Group where he has been General Manager for the last seven years coordinating annual purchases currently in excess of $2 billion per annum. 
 
“Craig’s experience with NARTA, his knowledge of the market and his strong relationship with JB’s suppliers will be a tremendous asset to the company” said CEO Richard Uechtritz. 
 
JB also recently promoted Justin Buxton previously DVD product manager to the role of General Manager Software. Buxton will lead a team of buyers across the Movies, Music and Games categories.
 
Both executives will report to the Chief Operating Officer Terry Smart, who after thirty-four years in the consumer electronics industry and nearly ten years with JB Hi-Fi has decided to retire at the end of July 2008.
