US Post Denies Hikes On Amazon

The US Postal Service has denied links with President Donald Trump’s attacks on Amazon and a proposed series of price hikes for the package delivery program used by the e-commerce giant.

The agency’s Parcel Select service, used by large shippers such as Amazon and other e-commerce businesses, will increase prices by up to 12 percent.

It’s not clear what effect it will have on Amazon, as it negotiates a special price with Postal Service, similar to other bulk users.

Trump has repeatedly alleged Amazon is to blame for the Postal Service’s financial woes and accuses the e-commerce giant of treating it like a delivery boy.
